3DEXPERIENCE ID
A 3DEXPERIENCE ID is the universal login used to access SOLIDWORKS and 3DEXPERIENCE online services, including the 3DEXPERIENCE platform and many customer portals. The single account allows users to sign in to resources such as serial numbers, software downloads, learning resources, and the knowledge base.
A 3DEXPERIENCE ID is typically created when registering a SOLIDWORKS account or when invited to join a 3DEXPERIENCE platform by your platform administrator.
Access Information:
- Anyone can create a 3DEXPERIENCE ID when logging into any SOLIDWORKS site.
- Connecting the 3DEXPERIENCE ID to a DSx Client Care grants access to the various subscription benefits related to your company’s licenses.
- There are no limits to the number of IDs that can be created per company.
DSx Client Care
DSx Client Care is your SOLIDWORKS admin’s homebase for creating contacts and assigning roles to grant SOLIDWORKS users access to desktop serial numbers (admins only), software downloads, learning resources, and the knowledge base.
The contacts created in DSx Client Care are separate from the named-user license members created on the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform.
- DSx Client Care = SOLIDWORKS contact management to access various resources.
- 3DEXPERIENCE Platform = cloud design and data access specifically.
Follow this link to learn how to create and manage contacts on DSx Client Care.
Access Information:
- Logging into DSx Client Care is limited to designated SOLIDWORKS admins of your company. The first admin is created during order entry. That admin then has access to add and manage other SOLIDWORKS contacts for the company. Alternatively, MLC CAD Systems can assist with contact management by submitting an appropriate technical support request.
- 3DEXPERIENCE two-factor authentication is also required when logging in.
MyProducts.solidworks.com (admins only)
MyProducts.solidworks.com is the SOLIDWORKS Admin Portal where users with Security Admin role assigned in DSx Client Care can log in and view the company’s SOLIDWORKS serial numbers, expiration dates, and if and where a license is activated. The information can also be exported from the site to a .csv file.
Click here to learn more about the Admin Portal.
Access Information:
- 3DEXPERIENCE ID
- Added as a contact in DSx Client Care with Security Admin role assigned.
SOLIDWORKS Downloads
For customers with an active service subscription, the newest and previous three major released SOLIDWORKS versions can be downloaded directly from the SOLIDWORKS downloads site. All perpetual SOLIDWORKS products are installed from the same installation manager.
- For all previous versions of SOLIDWORKS not available on the SOLIDWORKS downloads site, an alternate download must be requested through MLC CAD Systems. The download will include the installation files for the entire software package.
- For named user licensed 3DEXPERIENCE SOLIDWORKS Design products, all download and installation are performed from the 3DEXPERIENCE platform.
Access Information:
- 3DEXPERIENCE ID
- Added as a contact in DSx Client Care. No roles are required—only added as a basic contact.
3DEXPERIENCE Platform
The 3DEXPERIENCE Platform is Dassault Systèmes cloud-based environment for product development, data management, and collaboration. It connects SOLIDWORKS and other applications to a centralized platform where users can store, manage, and share design data while working in real time with team members. Through role-based apps, the platform provides tools for design, lifecycle management (PLM), simulation, and project collaboration.
The 3DEXPERIENCE Platform is also where 3DEXPERIENCE SOLIDWORKS and Collaborative Designed for SOLIDWORKS is downloaded and installed.
Access information:
- 3DEXPERIENCE ID
- Available platform licenses.
- Invited as a member by the platform administrator (the user who accepted the initial license/admin invitation).
My.solidworks.com
my.solidworks.com is the central learning and community portal for SOLIDWORKS users. The site provides access to technical articles from the SOLIDWORKS knowledge base, user forums, blogs, tutorials, and learning content. It also hosts training materials and videos to help users improve their skills.
Click here to learn more about My.solidworks.com
Access Information:
- 3DEXPERIENCE ID
- Many resources on this site require logging in with a 3DEXPERIENCE ID linked to an active subscription service (added as a contact in DSx Client Care). Otherwise, the logged in user will be limited to basic free content as a guest.
SOLIDWORKS and 3DEXPERIENCE Knowledge base
The SOLIDWORKS and 3DEXPERIENCE Knowledge Base is an online support resource that provides access to technical troubleshooting of known issues and best practices for SOLIDWORKS and 3DEXPERIENCE products. It includes solutions to common problems, detailed explanations of software behavior, and documentation on error messages.
Click here to learn more about the knowledge base.
Access Information:
- 3DEXPERIENCE ID linked to an active subscription service (added as a contact in DSx Client Care).
