Managing 3DEXPERIENCE Notifications

The 3DEXPERIENCE platform uses notifications to keep you informed about important activity across your applications and collaborative spaces. This guide explains where to find your notifications and how to customize when and where they are delivered, including your email inbox.

Example of notifications you may receive include:

      • You have been assigned a task.
      • You have been mentioned in a comment.
      • You have been invited to join a Collaborative Space.
      • Someone published a post in a 3DSwym Community.
      • Someone requested access to a role.
      • And much more.

Notifications are accessed from the bell icon in the upper-right corner of the 3DEXPERIENCE interface. When new notifications are available, an orange badge displays the number of unread items. The next section shows how to have these notifications delivered directly to your email inbox.

The Preferences page lists each application that supports notifications. Select an application to configure how its notifications are delivered. In this example, we’ll use 3DSwym. If you would like to configure additional application, repeat these steps for each application.

After selecting an application, choose which notification types you want to receive. You can also specify where each notification is delivered. By default, notifications are displayed in the Notification Center and Alerts. Enable Mail to also receive those notifications in your email inbox.

Note: Email notifications are sent to the email address associated with your 3DEXPERIENCE account.

Alternatively, you can click the ‘Activate All’ or ‘Deactivate All’ buttons at the bottom of the dialog to control all notifications types.

Browser Notifications

In addition to email notifications, you can also enable Browser notifications. Your web browser will prompt to allow notifications the first time this feature is enabled.

Browser notifications typically appear as desktop pop-up alerts or as a notification indicator on the browser tab running the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. This can be a convenient way to stay informed without constantly monitoring the Notification Center.

Additional Usability Tips

The 3DNotification Center includes several tools that make it easier to manage large numbers of notifications.

Mark All as Read

The Mark All as Read command is useful when you’ve accumulated a large number of notifications. For example, after an administrator makes changes to your account or when you’ve been mentioned in multiple comments. Rather than opening each notification individually, you can quickly mark them as read with a single click.

Filter Notifications

You can also filter existing notifications to quickly find the information you’re looking for by Date, Read, Unread, Important, or Not Important.
