How To Update Browser Security Settings for 3DEXPERIENCE Launcher

Starting with version Google Chrome 142 and Microsoft Edge 143, browsers now prompt users to allow or block local network access when a website tries to connect to an app or service on the local machine.

The 3DEXPERIENCE Launcher depends on this connection to open desktop applications from the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. If the connection is blocked or permission not granted, the launcher fails, resulting in an infinite loop or a “Download 3DEXPERIENCE Launcher” prompt as shown in the image below.

This guide contains detailed steps to resolve this behavior and allow 3DEXPERIENCE to launch successfully.

NOTE: This new security option is not available until upgrading to Chrome 142 or Edge 143.

Check your browser version number:

      • Chrome: Settings > About Chrome
      • Edge: Settings > About Microsoft Edge
