SOLIDWORKS login Manager Error and How to Fix It
The SOLIDWORKS Login Manager manages user authentication and session handling between SOLIDWORKS and the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform. The manager stores user credentials for automatic login to the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, initiates and maintains the connection between the local SOLIDWORKS environment and cloud-based 3DEXPERIENCE services, and other login-related services. It runs in the background to maintain consistent login across SOLIDWORKS sessions.
If you are presented with the error message “SOLIDWORKS Login Manager is not installed. Reinstall SOLIDWORKS or install SOLIDWORKS login Manager” and then SOLIDWORKS closes when clicking OK, or the login panel does not appear, then reinstalling the SOLIDWORKS Login Manager may resolve the behavior.
How to Reinstall SOLIDWORKS Login Manager
- Close all SOLIDWORKS sessions.
- Check Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features to see if SOLIDWORKS Login Manager is installed. If so, right-click and uninstall the application. If the program does not exist, then simply continue to the next step.
- Navigate to where the SOLIDWORKS installation files were downloaded. The default location is C:\Users\<username>\Documents\SOLIDWORKS Downloads\SOLIDWORKS <version>. Step into the swloginmgr folder and double-click the SOLIDWORKS Login Manager.msi to run the installer.
- Once finished, verify SOLIDWORKS Login Manager is listed in Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features and then test SOLIDWORKS to verify this resolved the login behavior. If this did not resolve the behavior, then contact MLC CAD Systems technical support for guidance.
