PDM Date Format and Today’s Date

On a SOLIDWORKS PDM Data Card, when applying a Special Value of ‘Today’s Date’, the date is used from the Windows date format. All other dates in PDM use the date format specified during creating of the PDM vault. This means the date formats can differ. To resolve this mismatch, change either the Windows or PDM date formats. 

Change Windows Date Format

The Windows date format can be changed from Windows Control Panel > Clock and Region > Change Date, time, or number formats. PDM references the short date format. 

Change PDM Date Format

PDM date format can be changed in the SOLIDWORKS PDM Administration tool by right clicking a vault and then selecting Properties.
