Where are your data centers located?
All MLC CAD Systems Hosting customers are served out of either our Tampa, FL or Dallas, TX based datacenters.
How do users connect to the dedicated servers system?
Users can connect through either a Site-to-Site VPN or User based VPN.
Is there a different level of support that we offer to dedicated servers customers? If so, what does that entail?
MLC CAD Systems does offer administrator time as a service to our hosted customers which gives them a higher level of support for their server and any of their MLC CAD Systems Applications on it.
What is your guaranteed uptime?
MLC CAD Systems guarantees a 99.99% uptime for connectivity to your system, excluding planned downtime for regularly scheduled maintenance.
Can users connect via a web portal?
No, users can only connect either through a Site-to-Site VPN or a User-Based VPN.
How fast is your connection?
All MLC CAD Systems data centers host a 250Gbps backbone internet connection and each server has its own dedicated 1Gbps connection.”
How much data is included?
Our base plan includes 1TB of storage and 20TB of monthly download bandwidth. Additional storage and bandwidth is available for an additional cost.
Can users not only have their applications on your dedicated servers, but also have them managed by you?
Yes, we can manage any of our customers’ MLC CAD Systems hosted services for them.
Can users run multiple applications on the same server? For example, both SOLIDWORKS Electrical & PDM?
Yes, our services team will build out the appropriate environment to host any or all of your SOLIDWORKS Server products.
How are upgrades done?
When a customer is ready to upgrade, they simply need to contact us and we will coordinate with the customer to upgrade the server at the same time as they upgrade their clients.
What happens if I fill up my allocated storage space?
MLC CAD Systems will work with you to either expand the storage capability or clean up existing data.
What type of internet connection do I need?
The minimum requirement is a 10Mbps connection, however, for best results, a dedicated 25Mbps or better connection is recommended.
