How To Install SOLIDWORKS Routing Add-In

SOLIDWORKS Routing is available in SOLIDWORKS Premium and Ultimate. SOLIDWORKS Routing can also be purchased as an add-on to a SOLIDWORKS Professional license, though the add-in to use Routing is not selected automatically during standard installation of a Professional license. The add-in may also not be installed automatically if you upgraded your license from SOLIDWORKS Standard or Professional to Premium or Ultimate. This guide will cover all those scenarios to get the Routing add-in installed.

To get the most out of the SOLIDWORKS Routing add-in functionality, MLC CAD Systems highly recommends attending our SOLIDWORKS Routing training to learn how configure the routing library and various options to begin creating routed systems.

  1. Modify SOLIDWORKS to access the SOLIDWORKS Installation Manager.
  2. On the Product Selection screen:

For SOLIDWORKS Premium and Ultimate, expand SOLIDWORKS and check SOLIDWORKS Routing.
