Unlike carbon fiber-filled materials such as Onyx, Nylon is non-abrasive and better suited for tooling and components that interact with delicate surfaces or finished parts.

Food contact-certified engineering nylon designed for food and beverage manufacturing environments. Nylon White FS is certified by NSF to NSF/ANSI Standard 51 and complies with FDA CFR Title 21 requirements for food contact applications.

Flame-retardant version of Onyx designed for strong, lightweight composite parts in regulated environments. Onyx FR combines chopped carbon fiber reinforcement with UL 94 V-0 compliance for applications where fire safety requirements are critical.

Continuous fibers cannot be printed alone, they are embedded within a composite base material (typically Onyx or Nylon) to significantly increase part strength and stiffness. 

Carbon Fiber

HSHT Fiberglass

Kevlar (Aramid Fiber)

Kevlar® is a lightweight continuous reinforcement fiber designed for parts that experience repeated impact, vibration, or contact with moving equipment. Compared to stiffer reinforcement fibers like carbon fiber, Kevlar can flex more before breaking and offers excellent abrasion resistance.

METALS

Markforged metal materials are produced using the Atomic Diffusion Additive Manufacturing (ADAM) process on the FX10 with the metal add-on. Unlike standard FDM printing, ADAM prints metal-filled material that is later washed and sintered to produce fully metallic parts. 

 

This process allows teams to produce complex metal components without many of the safety and infrastructure requirements associated with traditional metal powder-bed systems. 

17-4 PH Stainless Steel

High-strength stainless steel designed for durable metal parts exposed to wear, load, and corrosive environments. 17-4 PH is commonly used for tooling, fixtures, and end-use components that require a combination of strength, hardness, and corrosion resistance.
