Markforged Eiger Software

Cloud-based software for preparing, managing, and monitoring 3D prints across your Markforged printers.

What Is Markforged Eiger Software?

Eiger™ is Markforged’s cloud-based software platform for preparing, managing, and monitoring 3D prints.

It serves as the central hub for the entire printing workflow, allowing users to upload CAD files, configure materials and print settings, manage printer fleets, monitor production activity, and maintain a digital inventory of approved parts. Built specifically for the Markforged ecosystem, Eiger automatically applies material-specific print settings and generates the toolpaths required for composite, metal, and high-performance polymer printing, helping teams move from design to production with a more streamlined and consistent workflow.

Eiger Core Capabilities

Intuitive Slicing & Fiber Routing

Upload a CAD file, select your material, and Eiger automatically generates the toolpaths needed for printing. For composite parts, Eiger can automatically place continuous carbon fiber, fiberglass, or Kevlar® reinforcement while still allowing users to manually adjust reinforcement strategies when needed.

Digital Inventory & Cloud Management

Eiger stores approved part files in a centralized digital inventory, making it easier to organize, version, and reproduce parts across multiple printers and locations. Teams can access designs from anywhere, maintain revision control, and produce parts on demand without searching through local files or disconnected systems.

Fleet Monitoring & Control

Monitor individual printers or an entire fleet from a single dashboard. Eiger provides visibility into printer status, material usage, and job progress in real time. Teams can manage print queues, track printer activity, and monitor production across multiple locations from one interface.

Industry-Leading Security

Eiger is ISO 27001 certified and includes enterprise-grade security features to help protect part files and production data. Data is encrypted both in transit and at rest, and the platform supports Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and Single Sign-On (SSO) for organizations with security and compliance requirements.

Expand Your Capabilities with Digital Forge Complete

Eiger is included at no additional cost with every new Markforged printer purchase. Organizations looking to scale their operations, automate quality control, or run in offline environments can upgrade their Eiger experience with a Digital Forge Complete subscription. Upgrading to an advanced plan unlocks powerful add-on features within Eiger, including Simulation and Inspection.

Yes, Eiger is also free to test out without a Markforged printer. Every Markforged printer includes access to Eiger through the Basic plan at no additional cost. The Basic plan provides print preparation tools, printer management capabilities, and a standard 12-month warranty. If you need training and other support, explore Markforged subscriptions here.

Eiger supports the entire print workflow, from preparing parts for printing to monitoring production and managing digital inventories. Key capabilities include slicing, continuous fiber routing, fleet management, cloud-based part storage, security controls, and printer monitoring.

Eiger is the software platform used to prepare and manage prints. Digital Forge Complete is a subscription that expands Eiger with additional software capabilities, service coverage, training resources, and advanced tools such as Simulation and Inspection.

Simulation and Inspection are advanced capabilities available through the Digital Forge Complete Advanced Plan. Simulation allows users to evaluate part strength and stiffness before printing, while Inspection uses laser scanning to compare printed geometry against the original design and generate quality reports.
