Toolbox Sheet Metal Tutorial 3/4 – How to Create Sheet Metal Drawings – Flatt Patterns, Cut Lists, Multi-Body Views

How to Create Sheet Metal Drawings - Flat Patterns, Cut Lists, Multi-Body Views

In this SOLIDWORKS tutorial, Roland demonstrates how to create detailed drawings and DXFs of different configurations using multi body parts in Solidworks. He covers flattening bodies, creating drawings from any configuration, generating manufacturing information with dimensions, and creating DXFs for CNC cutting. Further into the video, he details creating views of individual bodies, adding manufacturing information to a flat pattern, creating projected views of bodies, and creating a flat pattern end cap. Roland also talks about the convenience of creating a master drawing and adding rough dimensions. The tutorial concludes with an explanation on how to include a bill of materials and cut list for the created parts as well as the addition of other relevant annotations and tolerances for manufacturing purposes.
