Saving and Accessing Data on the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform

Saving, finding, and opening files in the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform is different from a local file-based data management strategy.  In this video, we’ll cover how to save files to the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform and keep everything organized in 3DSpaces.  Choosing how files are saved makes finding them easier later, and files can be organized or searched by any property including who created it, the date, product name, or properties.  Bookmark’s function similar to folders in a traditional file-based storage strategy, but files can exist in multiple bookmarks if it is convenient for them to be visible and accessible in multiple projects or scenarios. 

Files can be accessed through the web or in the SOLIDWORKS add-in.  Files opened in SOLIDWORKS are cached locally for maximum performance and updated on the cloud when saved.
