The pre-release version expires in XX days displays – Mastercam 2024
Problem
When launching the Mastercam 2024, a warning appears telling the user that the pre-release version expires in XX days. The initial release of Mastercam 2024 will time out on August 10, 2023.
Cause
The pre-release warning was not removed from the release version of Mastercam 2024. Update 1 extended the date but did not remove the expiration warning completely.
Solution
Update to Mastercam 2024 Update 2 to fully disable the expiration warning and make your installation permanent. Mastercam 2024 Update 1 also has an expiration warning so update to Update 2 when possible to avoid this issue completely.
Use one of the 3 methods listed below to perform an update.
- Start 2024 and a Mastercam update bubble will show in the lower right of your screen in the system tray area. Click on this to activate the Update Manager.
- Manually check for updates from the Windows Start menu – Start > Mastercam 2024 > Check for Updates and then follow the instructions.
- Start 2024 and select Update Mastercam from the Help menu.
Mastercam must be shut down for the update to install properly.
