What is a My.Mastercam.com Account and how to Link it
With a My.Mastercam.com account, you can access customer-only resources such as the Mastercam Forums, the Knowledge Base, software downloads, and Mastercam University. To fully utilize these benefits and get the most out of your Mastercam software, the account needs to be linked to a valid Mastercam license, which ensures that only legitimate users gain access to these tools.
User Forums: You can engage with a global community of Mastercam users and developers. This space allows you to ask questions, share ideas, suggest features, and stay updated on the latest developments directly from the source.
Knowledge Base: This is a comprehensive resource filled with searchable solutions to common issues, detailed troubleshooting guides, and in-depth explanations of lesser-known Mastercam features, helping you resolve problems quickly and efficiently.
Tech Exchange: You get access to a searchable database where you can download free resources like generic post processors, tool libraries, component libraries (e.g., for Mill-Turn users), and set up sheets, saving you time by providing ready-made tools tailored for Mastercam.
Mastercam Downloads: With a linked account, you can download the latest Mastercam releases, as well as prior versions and updates, depending on your maintenance status. This ensures you’re always working with software that matches your needs and license terms.

CAM Assist: Users of the CAM Assist add-on must have a Mastercam.com account in order to authenticate the license for their CloudNC subscription. The email address used must match both the Mastercam.com account and the CloudNC account provided during the ordering process. Linking CAM Assist to your Mastercam.com email also allows you to log into the CloudNC service from multiple locations using the same account, as long as you log out on the previous machine—making it easy to switch between programming in the office and on the shop floor.
Additional Notes before Linking the Account
Requirements: You need a valid Mastercam license (standalone or network) and the software installed on a computer to generate the linking code.
Number of Account Links: There is no limit to the number of Mastercam accounts which can be linked to a Mastercam license, so get all your CAM users linked up to start enjoying the customer-only benefits.
Troubleshooting: If the linking code doesn’t work, ensure your license is active and that you’re running a supported version of Mastercam. For older versions (pre-X7), you might need to install CodeMeter software from the Mastercam website.
NetHASP Users: If using a network license with a NetHASP, additional steps may apply, reach out to our Mastercam technical support team for guidance.
Linking your My.Mastercam Account
You will need to create a My.Mastercam account prior to linking your Mastercam license to gain full access to the customer-only benefits as detailed below.
Step 1: Create an Account
Visit Mastercam.com and click ‘Login (mymastercam)’ or visit My.Mastercam.com directly and click either ‘Signup’ or ‘Create One’ to create an account.
Enter your account information, accept the terms of use, and then click ‘Create Account’. The system will send a verification email from Mastercam to the email used to create the account. Open the email and click on the verification link to activate your account.
Return to My.Mastercam.com and log in with your email and password. You will be presented with the Mastercam.com Account Link message. You can skip this message to continue to your account, though we highly recommend linking the account to your license to get the most out of the software and access the customer-only benefits.
Step 2: Generate a mastercam ‘linking Code’
Now that you have a verified My.Mastercam account, you will need to link your Mastercam license to that account by generating a Linking Code from your installed Mastercam license.
Launch Mastercam and select File > Community > Link Account.
Alternatively, you can launch the MastercamDotCom Linking utility from Windows Apps > Mastercam Licensing Utilities.
The system will generate a linking code automatically based on your Mastercam license. Click the Copy button to copy the code to your Windows clipboard.
If you installed Mastercam on a workstation that does not have internet access, you can click the Save button to save the Linking code to a text file and then transfer that file to a computer with internet access to copy it from there and proceed with linking the account. If the system displays a ‘Failed to generate linking code’ message, check to verify your Mastercam HASP is plugged into a USB port, your license is valid, and antivirus software is turned off. The Linking code will also not generate if you’re using a Mastercam Learning Edition. Step 3: Link Your My.Mastercam Account
Return to My.Mastercam.com and log in with your email and password. You will be presented with the Mastercam.com Account Link message. Paste (Ctrl+v) the copied Mastercam Linking Code from Step 2 into the ‘Account Link Code’ field and then click Link my account to complete the process. You now have access to the customer-only benefits of your My.Mastercam account.
