Wiping Station Maintenance - Markforged Metal X Printer

The Markforged Metal X printer extrudes a bound metal powder filament that includes a wax and a polymer binder. Due to the nature of the material, it can scrape and build up on the edge of the nozzle, potentially disrupting the print and part quality. To combat this, a wiping station consisting of metal brushes is included inside the build chamber and the nozzle is periodically run across these brushes to keep it clean. Routinely cleaning and maintaining these brushes will ensure the metal 3d printer operates efficiently.
