Markforged Desktop - Washing Build Plate
We recommend cleaning the print bed after every print for optimal results. Glue can build up on the print bed and may create an uneven or inconsistent surface for the first layer which can cause issues with adhesion and quality. In some cases scraping the glue off is sufficient depending on where the parts land on each job, but washing the bed fully is recommended.
Follow these instructions to properly clean the bed of material and glue without damaging it with harmful chemicals or soap. Wash in a large sink with a brush or wet sponge with only water. Do not use soap or any other chemical on the print bed! After washing, use a towel to remove excess water and allow it to dry.
