Markforged - How to Adjust Z Offset on Desktop Printers
In this video, our Markforged expert will demonstrate “How to Adjust Z Offset.”
Leveling the bed and setting the height on a 3D printer is a critical step for a successful print. The Markforged desktop printers have built-in utilities to help with this process to guide you through each step, explain what needs to be done, and capture the measurements obtained to make it simple and easy for any user. This video covers the process to set the Z-Offset for the print bed, which locates the bed within the fine adjustment range of the bed-leveling screws. This process is not required every time, but may be needed if this is the first time you are setting up a machine, if it has been recently moved or reset, if the build plate has been replaced, or if the bed level utility fails to reach a satisfactory result.
NOTE: when loosening the bed-level adjustment screws, be careful not to fully remove the screws as they can be tricky to re-install.
