How to Perform a Wet Plastic Purge Test Print
Use the Wet Plastic Purge Print to purge filament that may have been exposed to moisture in the feed and Bowden tubes. The tubes, nozzle, and extruder prevent exposure to air but are not perfectly sealed which can cause contamination and part quality issues.
The utility can be executed manually or run automatically if the machine has sat idle between prints. A thick line of material is extruded along the back of the print bed, pulling fresh material from the spool for an upcoming print. To diagnose wet material in the spool, run the Onyx Pillars Test Print to see if wet Onyx exists in the spool.
