Tacton Configurator Server
Tacton Configurator Server (TCserver) is the
embeddable engine in Tacton’s configurator solution. This highly
scalable server-based solution matches customer requirements with
suitable configurations. It is freely interactive, i.e. the end-user can
make and change selections in any sequence, always getting an optimal
configuration proposal.
Tacton Configurator Server can interact with
the user via any presentation layer, e.g. a web browser via the
Internet. It can load product and price data from any source, and
configuration results from the engine can be converted to any formats,
such as bills of material quotations, documentation, and CAD files.
Tacton Configurator Studio
Tacton Configurator Studio (TCstudio) is a
graphical maintenance tool used to define how product components can be
combined into solutions, i.e. configured. Tacton Configurator Studio is
used to create a so-called configuration model containing the product
configuration rules.
Tacton Configurator Studio is designed to be
easy to use for non-programmers, such as product managers or engineers.
Tacton Configurator Studio is optional and needed in order for the
Tacton customer to build and maintain the configuration models in-house.

Tacton Site Application
Tacton Configurator Site Application (TCsite)
is an out-of-the-box web application running Tacton Configurator
Server, which can easily be customized and integrated with other
systems as needed.
It provides all the necessary
opportunity management functionality for selling configurable
products, and can be used by internal staff as well as dealers and
end-customers.
The user profile will determine the
price list, language, as well as the privilege to view or change
saved carts, price, cost, discounts, etc. The look-and-feel can be
customized without programming using cascading style sheets.
Tacton Configurator Nomad
Tacton Configurator Nomad (TCnomad) is
an out-of-the-box Windows application running Tacton Configurator
Server Offline on a PC or laptop, which provides users with the
complete freedom to configure products and generate quotations in
the field, without the requirement of a network connection.
It is typically used by sales personnel
at customer visits as a sales support tool. It is fully compatible
with Tacton Configurator Server on-line solutions, where
configuration models can be downloaded and saved configurations can
be uploaded for order processing.
